Grand Forks legislative team has been working hard to secure funding for UAS/Autonomous developments. Here is the recent update excerpt from the Chamber of Commerce:

$36 Million for UAS Funding

• Grand Sky – $10M – to develop the next tranche of infrastructure at Grand Sky.
• BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) – $23M – This project continues the Vantis network buildout and is headquartered in Grand Forks.
• UAS Test Site – $3.0 M – This statewide operation is also headquartered in Grand Forks.

This funding keeps North Dakota and Grand Forks a leader in UAS integration into the national airspace, meaning small, medium and large UAS companies will come to Grand Forks for testing, training, integration and operations.
